Clean Cooking

Approximately 900 million people across Sub-Saharan Africa lack access to clean cooking fuels and technologies, exposing them to levels of air pollution that the WHO classifies as one of the leading causes of premature death globally - disproportionately affecting women and children.

In these countries, carbon revenue is the mechanism that makes clean cooking programmes viable at all - funding distribution and sustaining operations that donor finance alone cannot. Sunray Carbon is developing household and community cookstove programmes across the region, targeting buyers - CORSIA airlines, SBTi corporates, sovereign Article 6 programmes — for whom impact and credit integrity matter most.
